As we close out 2025, we want to reflect on what has truly been a historic first year for the Delaware Township Fire Company. Over the past year, we have achieved several important milestones that have significantly strengthened our ability to serve and protect our community.
Throughout 2025, we made meaningful improvements to staffing on emergency responses, helping ensure quicker and more effective service when residents needed us most. We also took a major step forward by sending a frontline piece of apparatus out for a complete refurbishment, investing in the long-term reliability of our fleet. In addition, we were fortunate to receive a $255,000 Assistance to Firefighters Grant, allowing us to equip our members with new portable radios and greatly improve firefighter safety and communication on the fireground. All of this occurred during a record-setting year in which our company responded to 314 calls for service, the highest number in our history.
None of these accomplishments would have been possible without the continued support of our communities and the partnership of Delaware Township and the Borough of Stockton. Your trust and support are the foundation of everything we do. As we look ahead to 2026, we remain committed to continued progress, preparedness, and service to those we are proud to protect.
